REF191 - Precision Micropower, Low Dropout, Voltage Reference...
Overview
The REF19x series of precision bandgap voltage references use a patented temperature drift curvature correction circuit and laser highly stable thin film resistors, trimmed to achieve a very low temperature coefficient and high initial accuracy. The series of Micro REF19x, Low Dropout (LDV) devices from a supplier provide a regulated output voltage as low as 100 mV above the output voltage and reduce supply current consumption by more than 45 mA. In sleep mode, which is enabled using a TTL or CMOS low-level sleep pin, the output is turned off and the supply current is further reduced to more than 15mA. The REF19x family references typical performance specifications over the extended industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) in applications from -40°C to +125°C such as automotive. All electrical grades are available in the 8-pin SOIC package; the PDIP and TSSOP packages are only available in the lowest electrical grade. Products are also available as bare die.
Test pin (TP)
The test pins, pin 1 and pin 5, remain in the package Zener ZAP. In order to achieve the highest level of accuracy at the output, Zener-TV technology is used to adjust the output voltage. Since each unit may require a different amount of adjustment, the resistance values at the test pins will vary widely from pin to pin and from part to part. The user should not make any physical or electrical connections to pins 1 and 5.
