EL7104 - High Speed, Single Channel, Power MOSFET Driver
High Speed, Single Channel, Power MOSFET Driver The EL7104 is a matched driver IC that improves the operation of the industry standard TC-4420/29 clock driver. The Elantec version is a very high speed driver, delivering a peak current of 1A for high capacitive loads. High-speed performance is achieved by means of a proprietary "turbo drive" circuit that can be accelerated by tapping the input stage over a wider voltage output swing. Improved speed and drive capability are matched by improved rise and fall delay times. These companion delays maintain the integrity of the input and output pulse widths to reduce false timing and clock skew issues. This improved performance is accompanied by a 10x reduction in supply current for bipolar drivers, but without the delay time issues typically associated with CMOS drivers. The EL7104 is available in 8-lead SO and 8-lead PDIP packages and is specified over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
