HIP6602-Dual-Channel Synchronous Rectification Buck MOSFET Driver
Dual-Channel Synchronous Rectification Buck MOSFET Driver The HIP6602 is a high frequency, two power channel MOSFET driver specifically designed to drive four power N-channel MOSFETs in a synchronous rectification buck converter. Combined with the HIP63xx these driver families of multiphase buck PWM controllers and Intersil's UltraFETs® form a complete core voltage regulator solution for advanced microprocessors. Above and below the driver's HIP6602 are a gate range of 5V to 12V. This drive voltage offers the flexibility to benefit from optimized applications that involve trade-offs between switching losses and conduction losses. The HIP6602 output drivers are capable of switching frequency power MOSFETs at high efficiency. Each driver is capable of driving a 3000pF load with a 30ns propagation delay and 50ns transition time. This device implementation requires an external capacitor per supply channel to boot on only one gate. This reduces implementation complexity and allows the use of higher performance, cost-effective, N-channel MOSFETs. Adaptive shoot-through protection is integrated to prevent both MOSFETs from running simultaneously.
