LTC1473L - Dual Switch Driver Low Voltage PowerPathTM

The LTC®1473L provides reliable and efficient switching of two DC sources. The device drives two back-to-back N-channel MOSFET switches with an external set of low-voltage inputs from the power system. An internal boost regulator provides the voltage to fully boost the logic level of the N-channel MOSFET switches while an internal undervoltage lockout circuit keeps the system alive down to 2.8V. The LTC1473L senses current limiting surges between the battery and the power system during switching capacitor transitions or during fault conditions. A user-programmable timer monitors the MOSFET switching times during current limit and latches them off when the programmed turn-off time has elapsed. The unique "2-diode" logic mode ensures that the system starts regardless of which input power is received first.
