General description
The FSBM10SH60 is an advanced Smart Power Module (SPM) newly developed by Fairchild Semiconductor, designed to provide a very compact and high performance AC motor driver primarily aimed at high speed low power inverter driven applications like washing machines. It combines optimized circuit protection and driver matching of low-loss IGBTs. Highly effective short-circuit current detection/protection is achieved by using an advanced IGBT current detection chip, allowing continuous monitoring of the IGBT current. The reliability of the system is further enhanced, and the integrated undervoltage lockout guarantees. The high-speed built-in HVIC provides optocoupler-free IGBT gate drive capability, further reducing the overall size of the inverter system design. In addition, the establishment of a high-voltage integrated circuit facilitates the utilization of a single-supply drive topology advantageously to catch the FSBM10SH60 by only one drive supply without negative bias voltage. Inverter current sensing applications can be implemented due to divergent negative DC termination.
