FSAM10SH60-Intelligent Power Module

General description
The FSAM10SH60 is an advanced Smart Power Module (SPM) newly developed by Fairchild Semiconductor, designed to provide a very compact, low cost, yet high performance AC motor drive primarily aimed at high speed low power inverterdriven applications like washing machines. It combines optimized circuit protection and driver matching with low-loss IGBTs. Efficient short-circuit current detection/protection is achieved by using an advanced current sensing IGBT chip that allows continuous monitoring of the IGBT current. System reliability is further enhanced with built-in overtemperature and integrated undervoltage lockout safeguards. The high-speed built-in HVIC provides optocoupler-free IGBT gate drive capability, further reducing the overall size of the inverter system design. In addition, the establishment of high-voltage ICs facilitates the use of a single-supply driver topology that enables the FSAM10SH60 to have only one driver supply voltage to drive without negative bias. Inverter current sensing applications can be implemented due to divergence of negative DC terminals.
