Description The Si9130 PIN Programmable Controller Portable Dual PC is a Si786 Dual Output PIN Programmable Version Notebook PC Power Supply. The buck controller provides 5 V and pin-programmable outputs are provided as 3.3 V, 3.45 V, or 3.6 V. The circuit is two system-level integrated step-down microcontrollers and 5 V and 3.3 V linear regulators. The controller performs high-efficiency conversion of battery energy (typically 12 V) or output AC-to-DC wall converters (typically 18-V to 24 V DC) to 5 V and 3.3-V system supply voltages. Micropower linear regulators can be used to keep the power management and backup circuits alive while the buck converter is turned off. A complete power conversion and management system can be implemented with the Si9130 pin-programmable dual-controller portable computer, an inexpensive linear regulator, an SMP controller for high-performance processors, the Si9140 power supply, and five Si4410 N-channels TrenchFET power MOSFET, one Si4435 p-channel TrenchFET power MOSFET and two Si9712 PC card (PCMCIA) interface switches. The Si9130 is available in standard and lead-free (Pb) free 28-pin SSOP packages and is specified over the commercial (0°C to 70°C) and extended commercial (Bilg C to 90°C) temperature ranges.
