MAX1600 - Dual-Channel CardBus and PCMCIA VCC/VPP Power Switch Network...
General Description The MAX157/MAX159 low-power, 10-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are available in an 8-pin µMAX, DIP package. Both devices operate from a single +2.7 V to +5.25 V supply and feature a 7.4 μs successive approximation ADC, automatic power-down, fast wake-up (2.5 μs), an on-chip clock, and a high-speed, 3-wire serial interface. Power consumption is only 3.2mW (voltage Vdd = +3.6 v) at 108ksps maximum sampling rate. At slower throughput rates, a further 0.2µA automatic shutdown reduces power consumption. The MAX157 provides 2 channels, operates single-ended and accepts input signals from 0 to VREF. The MAX159 accepts pseudo-differential inputs ranging from 0 to VREF. Access data to an external clock through a 3-wire serial interface, which is SPI™, QSPI™, and MICROWIRE™ compatible. Excellent dynamic performance and low power consumption, combined with ease of use and small package size, make these converters ideal for battery power and data, or with other circuit acquisition applications with demanding power and space requirements. For pin-compatible 12-bit upgrades, see the MAX144/MAX145 data sheet.
