Functional Description The TLE 6208-3G is a fully protected three-layer half-bridge driver designed for automotive and industrial motion control applications. The device is based on Siemens Power Technology Standard Penetration Test® allowing bipolar and CMOS control circuits to exist in the same monolithic circuit as DMOS power devices. In motion control 2 actuators (DC motors) can be connected to 3 halfbridgeoutputs (cascade configuration). Operating modes forward (clockwise), reverse (counterclockwise), brake and high impedance control from a standard SPI interface. The possibility to control the output from the central logic via software allows to limit the power consumption. So the standard P-DSO-14 package meets application requirements and saves PCB, board space and cost. In addition, the built-in features such as overvoltage and undervoltage lockout, thermal protection and very low quiescent current in standby mode are widely used in automotive and industrial applications.
