Description The L293D is a quad high current half-H driver, designed to provide bidirectional drive up to 600 mA of current from 4.5 V to, at voltage 36 V, it is used to drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoid valves , DC and bipolar stepper motors, and other high-current/high-voltage loads for positive power applications. All inputs are TTL compatible. Each output is a complete totem pole with Darlington driver circuit transistor slices and pseudo Darlington sources. Drivers and drivers enable pairs 1 and 2 enable 1,2 en and drivers 3 and 4 enable 3,4 en. When the enable input is high, the associated drivers are enabled and their outputs are active with their input stage. External high-speed output clamp diodes should use inductive transient suppression. When the enable input is low, these drivers are disabled and their outputs are off and in a high impedance state. With the correct data input, each pair of drivers forms a complete H (or bridge) reversible lane suitable for electromagnetic or motor applications. A VCC1 terminal, separate from the Vcc2, is provided to minimize the power dissipation of the logic input device. The L293D is designed to operate from 0°C to 70°C
