UPD168116A-7-channel support H-bridge driver with microstep pulse input function

Description The μPD168116A is a 7-channel H-bridge with a tiny step function supporting a pulse input considered a CMOS control circuit by a driver and a MOS output stage. It can reduce current consumption and use bipolar transistors for conventional drivers at the voltage depleted output stage, thanks to a MOS process employment. The μPD168116A can drive the motor step by step by inputting pulses, so that the number of signal lines necessary to control the motor can be dropped. The package is a 56-pin WQFN that helps reduce mounting area and height. The μPD168116A can be used to drive two stepper motors or two DC motors and one coil.

Features • Seven H-bridge circuits employ power MOSFETs
• Low voltage driving VDD = 2.7 to 3.6 V VM = 2.7 to 5.5 V
• Output on-state resistance: 1.0Ω typical, 1.5Ω maximum. . (sum of top and bottom stages, CH1 to CH4 and ch7) 1.5Ω typ. , 2.0Ω max. (sum of top and bottom stages, CH5's and CH6's)
• PWM output (CH1 to CH6), linear output (ch7)
•Output current DC current: 0.4 A/hall (when each channel is used independently) Peak current: 0.7 A/hall (when each channel is used independently) DC current: 0.5A/hall (when used independently) Peak current: 0.7A/hall (when used independently)
• Input logic frequency: 100 kHz supported • Under-voltage lockout circuit shuts down the internal circuitry at VDD = 1.7 V typical.
• Overheat protection circuit operates above 150°C and shuts down the internal circuit.
• 56-pin WQFN (□8mm, 0.5mm pitch)
