Overview The TC1426/27/28 is a 1.2A dual high speed family driver. CMOS process is used for low power consumption and high efficiency. These devices employ an epitaxial layer that effectively shorts the intrinsic parasitic transistors responsible for CMOS latch-up. They apply other quantitative design and process improvements to increase their long-term reliability. The TC1426 is compatible with the bipolar DS0026, but not only draws 1/5 the quiescent current. The TC1426/27/28 is also compatible with the TC426/27/28 and is a 1.2A current peak output current device instead of the 1.5A in the TC426/27/28. Other compatible drivers are TC4426/27/28 and TC4426A/27A/28A. There is an added TC4426/27/28 function, which can withstand a negative input voltage with a diode protection circuit of 5V. The TC4426A/27A/28A have matched input-to-output lead and falling edge delays, namely TD1 and TD2, to process short pulses in the 25 ns range. The above drivers are all pin compatible. The high input impedance TC1426/27/28 drivers are compatible with CMOS/TTL inputs, do not require speed-up required by bipolar devices, and can directly drive most PWM ICs. This family of devices is available in inverting and non-inverting versions. Specifications are optimized to enable low-cost, high-performance devices ideal for high-volume manufacturers.
