DESCRIPTION The UC3709 family of power drivers is an efficient low-cost problem solver providing fast turn-on and turn-off of the capacitive gate of the power MOSFET. Manufactured with a high-speed Schottky process, these devices will provide up to 1.5 or A current source or sink totem-pole output stage for the lowest configuration cross-conduction current spike. The pins on the UC3709 are compatible with the MMH0026 or DS0026, although the delay time is longer and the supply current is much less than these older devices. With inverting logic, these units feature complete input with an output stage for TTL compatibility capable of five, over 30 swings. This design also includes thermal shutdown protection.
