HS-117 - Radiation Hardened Adjustable Positive Voltage Regulator
Hardened HS-117RH Radiation is an actively regulated voltage linear regulator capable of operating up to 40VDC. This voltage is adjusted from 1.2V to 37V with two external resistors. The device can be sourced from 50mA to 1.25APEAK (minutes). Protection is provided by on-chip thermal shutdown and output current limit circuitry. Intersil's HS-117RH has the advantage over other industry standard types of circuits to reduce the effects of radiation and temperature stability incorporated in the device. Negligible sensitivity at low dose rates is achieved by using vertical transistor geometry. Constructed from Intersil's Rad Hard Silicon Gate (RSG) process for dielectric isolation, the HS-117RH is difficult to single-event latching and has been specially designed to provide highly reliable performance in harsh radiation environments.
