LM431ACM3X - Positive Adjustable Voltage Regulator
The LM431 is a 3-terminal adjustable shunt regulator with guaranteed temperature stability over the entire temperature range of operation. It is now available in a chip-scale package (4-bump micro SMD) using National Semiconductor's micro SMD packaging technology. The output voltage can be set at any level greater than 2.5V (VREF) by choosing two external voltages divided by resistors up to 36V which acts only as a network. Due to its characteristics on sharp turns this device is an excellent replacement for many Zener diode applications.
