The LM2936-3.0 is an ultra-low quiescent current regulator with low dropout voltage and low current standby mode. With a 100µA load at less than 20µA quiescent current, the LM2936-3.0 is ideal for automotive and other battery powered systems. While the LM2936-3.0 retains all the features that are common to low dropout regulators including low dropout PNP pass devices, short circuit protection, reverse battery protection and thermal shutdown. While the LM2936-3.0 has a maximum operating voltage limit of 40V, an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, and ±3% output voltage tolerance over the entire output current, input voltage and temperature range. The LM2936-3.0 is available in a TO-92 package, the SO-8 surface mount package, and the SOT-223 and TO-252 surface mount power packages.
