LP2960AIN-3.3-Adjustable Micro 0.5A Low Dropout Regulator
While the LP2960 is a very low micro voltage regulator with low dropout (12 mV for 1 mA load and 470 mV for typical 500 mA load) and very low quiescent current (1 μA typical for 450 mA load). While the LP2960 is ideal for battery powered systems: the quiescent current increases only slightly at dropout, thus extending battery life. The LP2960 retains all the fine features of the LP2953 and provides a larger output current. Error flags turn low anytime yields drop by more than 5%, exceeding regulations. Reverse battery protection function. While the LP2960 only needs 10µF of output capacitor stability (5V version). The internal reference voltage is used externally to provide a low TC. References have good conditioning characteristics. The devices are available in 16-pin plastic DIP and 16-pin surface mount packages.
