LP2956 - Dual Micropower Low Dropout Regulators
While the LP2956 is a micro voltage regulator with very low quiescent current (170µA, typical at light loads) and very low dropout voltage (typically 60 mA load current for 1 mV and 470 mV for 250 mA load main output current). The LP2956 retains all the fine features of the LP2951, but provides higher output current (main output), an auxiliary LDO adjustable regulated output (75mA), and additional features. The auxiliary output is always on (regardless of the main output state), so it can be used for power storage circuits. The quiescent current in dropout increases only slightly, which prolongs battery life. The error flag goes low if the main output voltage drops in regulation. An open collector auxiliary comparator is included with its inverting input connected to the 1.23V reference. Reverse battery protection function. The part is available in DIP and surface mount packages.
Features Output Voltage Adjustable from 1.23V to 29V Guaranteed 250mA Current (Main Output)
