LP2950ACDT-5.0RK-VOLT Regulator|Fixed|5 V|BIPOLAR|SIP|3PIN|Plastic

The LP2950 and LP2951 are micropower regulators, which are designed to maintain a low input-to-output voltage drop with a very proper regulation. These devices feature a very low quiescent bias current of 75 mA, and are capable of delivering over 100 mA of output current. Internal current and thermal current limit protection. And the LP2951 has three additional functions. The first is an error output, which can be used to signal an external circuit out of a regulatory condition, or as a reset for microprocessor power-up. The second function allows the output voltage to be preset to 5.0 V, 3.3 V or 3.0 V output (depending on version) or 1.25 V programmed to 29 V, and it includes feedback directly into the error amplifier with a fixed-out resistor divider enter. The third feature is the shutdown input, which allows logic level signals to turn off or on the regulator output. Due to low input-to-output voltage drop and bias current specifications, these devices are ideal for battery-powered computers, where extended useful battery life is desirable in consumer electronics and industrial equipment. While the LP2950 is available in three-pin 29 and DPAK packages, the LP2951 is available in eight-pin dual in-line, SO-8 and Micro-8 surface mount packages. And "A" suffix devices have an initial output voltage tolerance of ± 0.5%.

LP2950 and LP2951 features:
• Low quiescent bias current at 75 mA • Low input to output voltage drop of 50 mV at 100 mA and 380 mV at 100 mA
• 5.0 V, 3.3 V or 3.0 V ± 0.5% to allow use as a regulator or reference • Very tight line and load regulation • Only 1.0µF output capacitor required for stability • Internal current and thermal limits

LP2951 additional features:
• Regulated status output for error output signal • Output programmable from 1.25 V to 29 V • Logic level shutdown input
