Description The three-terminal active L7800 series regulators are available in TO-220, TO-220FP, TO-220FM, TO-3 and D2PAK packages, with several fixed output voltages, making them useful for a wide range of applications. These regulators provide local on-card regulation, eliminating the distribution issues associated with single point regulation. Internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe zone protection for each type of employee, making it inherently indestructible. If adequate heat dissipation is provided, output currents in excess of 1A can be provided. Although designed primarily as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can achieve adjustable voltage and current with external components.
