TC1014-50mA CMOS LDO Regulator Shutdown and Reference Bypass

General Instructions
The TC1014 is a high-accuracy (typically ±0.5%) CMOS (bipolar) upgrade to the LP2980 as a low-dropout regulator. Specifically designed for battery-powered systems, the TC1014's CMOS structure eliminates wasted ground current, significantly extending battery life. The common supply current is usually at full load (50mA 20 to 60 times lower than bipolar regulators). Key features of the TC1014 include ultra-low noise operation (plus optional bypass input); very low dropout voltage (typically 95mV at full load) and fast response with internal feedforward compensation to enhance response to load changes. supply when the shutdown input current decreases to less than 1mA. The TC1014 also incorporates over temperature and over current protection. The TC1014 is stable with only one output capacitor of 1MF and a maximum output current of 100mA.
