S78L05 - Positive Voltage Regulator
Description This series of fixed voltage monolithic integrated circuit voltage regulators are designed for a wide range of applications. These applications include eliminating regulatory noise on the card and distributing issues with a single point of regulation. Also, they can be used in dendritic elements to make high current voltage regulators. Each of these regulators is capable of delivering 100mA of output current. The internal limitations and thermal shutdown capabilities of these regulators make them essentially immune to overloading. When a zener diode is used as an alternative to a resistor, the output impedance can be improved effectively in conjunction with the human bias current.
