describe
The Si9181 is a 350 mA CMOS LDO (low dropout) voltage regulator. The device features ultra-low ground current and voltage drop for extended battery life in portable electronics. The Si9181 provides line/load transient response and ripple rejection for superior bipolar or BiCMOS low dropout regulators. The device maintains regulation while delivering 600 mA of peak current. This is useful with higher inrush currents when the system is turned on. The Si9181 is designed to drive lower cost ceramic, as well as tantalum, output capacitors. The device is guaranteed to stabilize the maximum load current down to a 0 mA load. Additionally, an external noise bypass capacitor connected to the CNOISE pin of the device will reduce the output noise of the LDO for low noise applications. The Si9181 also includes a regulated error flag. When the output voltage is 5% below its rated output voltage, the error flag output goes low. If a capacitor is connected to the delay pin of the device, the error flag output pin will generate a delayed power-on reset signal. The Si9181 is available in standard and lead (Pb) free packages.
