MAX8510-Ultralow Noise, High PSRR, Low Dropout, 120mA Linear Regulator in SC70 Package

Overview
The MAX8510/MAX8511/MAX8512 are ultralow noise, lowdropout (LDO) linear regulators designed to deliver up to 120mA of continuous output current from a tiny 5-pin SC70 plastic package. These regulators achieve a low dropout of only 120mV at 120mA load current. The MAX8510 uses an advanced architecture to achieve ultra-low output voltage noise of 11µVRMS at 100kHz and a PSRR of 54dB. The MAX8511 requires no bypass capacitors, enabling minimal PC board area. The MAX8512 output voltage is adjustable with an external voltage divider. The MAX8510/MAX8511 are preset to various voltages in the 1.5V to 4.5V range. Design a PchannelMOSFET series pass transistor, MAX8510/MAX8511/MAX8512 maintain extremely low ground current (40μA). Regulators are designed and optimized to work with low-value, low-cost ceramic capacitors. The MAX8510 requires an output capacitor of 1µF to stabilize (typ) at any load. When disabled, current consumption drops below 1µA.
