AMS682 - Inverting Voltage Multiplier
The AMS682 is a CMOS charge pump converter that provides an inverted output from a single positive supply. Only three complete circuits are required to implement the external capacitor device on-board 12kHz oscillator (typ) which provides the clock. Low output source impedance (typically 140W) and output current up to 10mA. The AMS682 features low quiescent current and high efficiency, making it ideal for a wide variety of applications that require a negative voltage from a single positive supply. The compact size and minimal external component count of the AMS682 make it useful for many medium current, dual voltage analog power supplies. The AMS682E is operated over the full industrial temperature range -40°C to 85°C, while the AMS682C exceeds the 0°C to 70°C temperature range. The AMS682E/AMS682C are surface mount 8-lead SOIC (SO-8) and 8-lead plastic DIP package (PDIP) packages.
