TPS60100 - Regulated 3.3V 200mA Low Noise Charge Pump DC/DC Converter...
The TPS60100 step, regulated charge pump produces a 3.3 V ± 4% output voltage from 1.8 V to 3.6 V input voltage (two alkaline, NiCd, or NiMH batteries). The output current is 200mA from the 2 V input. Only 4 external capacitors are required to build a complete low noise DC/DC converter. The two push-pull modes of operation of the single-ended charge pump ensure low ripple as the current output voltage is continuously transferred to the output. From a 2 V input, the TPS60100 can start up to 16 W with low load to full load. Key features of the TPS60100 are constant frequency mode to reduce noise and output voltage ripple or power-saving pulse skip mode to extend battery life under light load conditions. The TPS60100 switching frequency is 300 kHz. One of the logic shutdown functions reduces supply current by 1 mA (max) and disconnects the load input. Special current control circuit prevents the battery from drawing excessive current when starting up. This DC/DC converter requires no inductance and low EMI. This is available in the small 20-pin TSSOP PowerPADE package (Works).
