X9312-terminal voltage is 0V+15V, 100 taps
Intersil's X9312 is a Digitally Controlled Potentiometer (XDCP). The device consists of a resistor array, wiper switch, control section, and non-volatile memory. Wiper position control is via a 3-wire interface. The potentiometer is switched through a resistor array consisting of 99 resistor elements and a wiper network. Between and at either end of each element are the wiper-accessible tap point terminals. The position of the wiper element is controlled by the CS, U/D and INC inputs. The wiper position can be stored in non-volatile memory and then recalled after a subsequent power-up operation. The device can be used as a three-terminal potentiometer or two-terminal variable resistor in a wide variety of applications, including:
- control
- Parameter adjustment
- Signal processing
