CA3275 - Dual Full-Bridge Drivers

The CA3275 dual full-bridge driver is intended for generalpurpose applications or exchanges that require dual full-bridge drivers, including directional and PWM position control. While it may not be possible to use all functions or requirements of the IC, they will typically be used in instrumentation quadrature coil systems, such as air core gauges, that will drive coils at a wide range of frequencies from 200Hz to 400Hz. The coil is wrapped at an angle of 90 degrees for independent directional control. The physical configuration of this coil wound is controlled by PWM, where each coil's drive is a sine or cosine function in relation to the degree of motion. Use the direction control to change the direction of the current H-drive coil. The switching rate capability of the IC is typically 30kHz regardless of inductive load. Overcurrent limit is used to limit short circuit current. Overvoltage protection (in the range of 18V to 24V) causes the device to shut down the output current drive. Thermal shutdown power consumption is limited on-chip. The CA3275 is offered in a 14-pin dual in-line plastic package.
