The AIC3842 control IC provides functions to implement off-line or DC/DC converter fixed frequency current mode schemes with a minimum number of external components. This IC features undervoltage lockout (UVLO) startup current of approximately 300mA, precision reference accuracy at trimmed error amplifier input, high gain error amplifier, current sense comparator, logic to ensure latched operation, totem pole output stage design source or sink peak current. The output stage, suitable for driving N-channel MOSFETs, is low in the shutdown state.
