ADN2850 - Non-Volatile Memory, Dual Channel 1024 Programmable Resistor Locations
The ADN2850 provides dual-channel, digitally controlled programmable resistors2 with a resolution of 1024 positions. These devices perform the same electronic regulation function as a mechanical varistor with enhanced resolution, solid state reliability, and excellent low temperature coefficient performance. The general purpose programming of the ADN2850 allows 16 modes of operation and adjustment via a standard serial interface, including scratch pad programming, memory storage and retrieval, increment/decrement, log taper adjustment, wiper setting readback, and additional user-defined EEMEM1. Another key feature of the ADN2850 is that the actual tolerances are stored in the EEMEM. The actual all-round resistance is therefore called, which is invaluable for matching tolerances and calibrations. In scratch pad programming mode, specific settings can be programmed directly to the RDAC2 register, setting the resistance between the W and B terminals of the RDAC register can also be loaded with the value previously stored in the EEMEM register. The value in EEMEM can be changed or protected. When changes are made to the RDAC register, the new value setting can be saved to EEMEM. Thereafter, this value is automatically transferred to the RDAC register during system power-on, which is enabled by the internal preset strobe. It can also be controlled by directly programming and retrieving EEMEM external preset pins. The linear step increment and decrement commands enable the setting register of the RDAC to be moved or down, one step at a time. Tap setting, left/right number change bit shift command to adjust the level in ±6 dB steps. ADN2850 is in 5mm? 5 mm 16-pin architecture chip scale LFCSP package and low profile 16-pin TSSOP package. All parts are guaranteed to operate over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
