AD5273-64-bit OTP digital potentiometer
The AD5273 is a 64-bit, one-time programmable (OTP) digital potentiometer4 resident program set using fusing technology. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as most mechanically sheared variable resistors. Previously, it allowed permanent and unlimited adjustment of the set resistance value. The AD5273 is programmed using a 2-wire, I2C compatible digital control. In write mode, the FI signal value executed after the fuse strike command is determined and thus frozen at a given wiper position setting (similar to placing a mechanical trimmer on an epoxy). When this permanent setting is achieved, the value will not change under normal operating conditions regardless of supply changes or ambient pressure. In order to verify the successful programming of the permanent device, the OTP verification of the pattern, such as the status of the fuse, can be seen from the two verification bit read patterns. In addition, applications, on the factory AD5273, are provided by Analog Devices for device programming software2 running Windows® NT, 2000 and XP operating systems. This software application effectively replaces any external I2C controller, thereby improving the time-to-market of the user's system. AD5273 available at 1K, 10K, 50K, 100K? Available in a small SOT23, 8-pin standard package and operates from -40°C to +105°C. In addition to its unique OTP functionality, the AD5273 is ideal for digital potentiometer general applications due to its efficient resolution, array resistor options, small footprint, and low cost. An evaluation board and software for the AD5273. The kit includes further factories that can be used to convert connectors and cables for programming applications. For applications requiring dynamically adjusted resistance nonvolatile EEMEM settings, users should refer to the AD523x and AD525x family of digital potentiometers for nonvolatile memory.
