MAX5160 - Low-Power Digital Potentiometer
The MAX5160/MAX5161 linear taper digital potentiometer performs the same function as a mechanical potentiometer or variable resistor. They form a fixed resistor and 32 tap points, wiper contacts digitally control three rows of 8-pin MAX5160 or two rows of 6-pin MAX5161. These parts are ideal for applications requiring digitally controlled resistors. Three resistor values per part type: 50K half, 100K half and 200K half. A nominal resistor temperature coefficient of 50ppm/°C to the end ratio of only 5ppm/°C makes the MAX5160 ideal for applications requiring low temperature coefficient variable resistors, such as low temperature coefficient, adjustable gain circuit configurations. The MAX5160 is in an 8-pin μMAX package and the MAX5161 is in a 6-pin SOT23 package. Both devices are guaranteed over the extendedindustrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C)
