FAN5026-Dual Channel DDR/Dual Output PWM Controller
The FAN5026 PWM controller provides high efficiency and regulates the power I/O chipsets, and memory, high performance computers, set-top boxes, and VGA cards required for two output voltages with an adjustable range from 0.9V to 5.5V. Synchronous rectification contributes to a high efficiency load range. Efficiency is even further improved by using the MOSFET's RRDS(ON) as a current sensing element. Feedforward ramp modulation, average current mode control scheme, and internal feedback compensation provide fast load transient response. Phase operation with 180 degree phase shift reduces input current ripple. "The controller can be transformed into a complete DDR memory activated power supply solution at designated pins. In DDR mode of operation one of the channels tracks the output voltage and output sink current of the other channel and sources Capability - Essential to power the proper DDR chip. The buffered reference also provides the voltages required for this type of memory. These output and generate the PGX (power good) signal on the FAN5026 independent display when soft-start is complete and output is within ±10% of its set point range. Built-in overvoltage protection prevents the output voltage from exceeding 120% of the set point. Normal operation automatically recovers when the overvoltage condition goes away. The undervoltage protection latches off the chip or After the output, 75% of its set value falls below 75% of its set value to complete the soft-start of the output sequence. An adjustable overcurrent function monitors the output current to sense the voltage drop across the lower MOSFET. If accurate current sensing is required, an external currentsense Resistors can be used selectively.
