LM3524D - Adjusted Pulse Width Modulator
The LM3524D family is an improved version of the industry standard LM3524. It improves the specification and additional functionality pin-to-pin compatibility with the existing 3524 family. The new features reduce the need for additional external circuitry normally required in the original version. The LM3524D has a ±1% high precision 5V reference. The carrying capacity of the current output driver transistors has been increased to 200mA while reducing VCESAT and increasing the VCE breakdown to 60V. The common-mode voltage range of the error amplifier has been increased to 5.5V to eliminate the need for a resistor divider from the 5V reference. The bias line for the LM3524D circuit has been isolated from the shutdown pin. This prevents the oscillator's pulse amplitude from interfering with the shutdown frequency.
