SG1731J - Pulse Width Modulator for DC Motor
SG1731 is a pulse width modulation circuit control specially designed for DC motors. It provides bidirectional pulse train output amplitude and analog error signal input polarity. The device is used as an element for positioning accuracy and speed control of the motor-driven servo system, as well as audio modulators and amplifiers in use with carrier frequencies up to 350 kHz. The circuit consists of a triangular wave oscillator, wideband op amp to generate error voltage, summing/scaling network level transfer triangular waveform, external programmable PWM comparator and dual ±100mA ±22V totem pole commutator diode full-bridge output drivers. A closed terminal powers the floating high impedance state when the driver is pulled low. The supply voltage control circuit and output driver can be either positive and negative dual supplies, or single ended.
