LX7001-Transient Immunity Undervoltage Detection Circuit
The LX7001 is an improved special undervoltage sensing circuit designed for microprocessor based systems using a reset controller. Difficult challenges exist in today's complex miniaturized systems to overcome, such as designer spurious noise problems. The LX7001 is optimized for systems that must tolerate high-speed power supply glitches caused by high-speed logic transitions and similar switching phenomena. The LX7001 provides a unique stage, couples glitch-immune micropower, ultra-stable bandgap reference precision sensing undervoltage conditions. It provides designers with an economical, space-efficient solution for low-voltage detection when used in combination with a single pull-up resistor. Adding a capacitor provides a programmable delay time return after power is turned on. Additionally, the LX7001 offers excellent temperature stability. A high quality trimmed voltage reference and bias circuit permits very accurate and repeatable undervoltage sensing. The remaining blocks form a hysteretic comparator, high current clamping diodes and an open collector output stage capable of sinking up to 60mA. The RESET output of the LX7001 specifies full functionality at VIN = 1V.
