MB3771 - Power Monitoring
The Fujitsu MB3771 is designed to monitor one or two supply voltages (+5 V and an arbitrary voltage) in microprocessor circuits, for example, in large form factor computer memory boards. If the power supply deviating from the circuit exceeds the specified amount, then the MB3771 generates a reset signal to the microprocessor. Therefore, the computer's data is protected from accidental deletion. Few external components are required to use the MB3771. The display has only one +5 V power supply, and the MB3771 requires an external capacitor to be connected. Arbitrary sense voltage levels are determined by two external resistors. The MB3771 is an 8-pin dual in-line, single, row pack or space saving flat pack.
Features • High-precision voltage detection (VSA = 4.2 V ± 2.5%)
• User selectable threshold level with hysteresis (VSB=1.23 V±1.5%)
• Monitor one or two supply voltages (5 V and an arbitrary voltage greater than 1.23 V)
• Overvoltage detector available • Low voltage reset signal output (VCC = 0.8 V typical).
• Minimum number of external components (one capacitor min.)
• Low power consumption (ICC= 0.35 mA typical, Vcc= 5V)
• The detection threshold voltage has a hysteresis function. • The reference voltage is connected.
