Preliminary information on MIC2027-1BM-Quad USB Power Distribution Switch
The MIC2027 and MIC2077 are quad high-side MOSFETs optimized for general purpose power distribution switches requiring protection circuits. The MIC2027/77 are internally current limited and have thermal shutdown to protect the device and load. The MIC2077 provides "smart" thermal shutdown, reducing current consumption in fault mode. When thermal shutdown fails, the output latches off until the load fault is removed. Removing the load or toggling the enable input resets the device output. Both devices feature a soft-start circuit that minimizes surge current employment in high capacitive load applications. The output flags are asserted in thermal shutdown conditions during overcurrent and fault conditions. Transient current limit faults are internally filtered. The MIC2027/77 are available in a narrow (150 mil) wide (300 mil) SOP (Small Outline Package).
