MIC2025 - Preliminary information on single channel power distribution switch
The MIC2025 and MIC2075 high-side MOSFET switching general-purpose power supply requirements distribute optimized protection circuits. The MIC2025/75 are internally current limited and have thermal shutdown protection for the device and load. The MIC2075 provides "smart" current consumption that reduces thermal shutdown in fault mode. When a thermal shutdown fault occurs, the output is latched off until the load fault is removed. Removing the load or switching the enable input device resets the output. Both devices feature a soft-start circuit that minimizes surge current employment in high capacitive load applications. One is that the fault status output flag is asserted under overcurrent and thermal shutdown conditions. The MIC2025/75 are available in MM8™ 8-lead MSOP and 8-lead SOP.
