VN410-SMART Direction Indicator 2 Channel Driver
The VN410 is a monolithic device proposed using the SGS-Thomson Vertical Smart Power Technology, integrating all the functions required to implement a complete automotive flashing system. The device has two identical power supply channels so that only one of the information is specified. RT, CT pins are connected to external R, C network to fix flicker frequency. LDIR, RDIR directional inputs activate the corresponding outputs (or none). EM inputs, turn on the two power emergency blink outputs, which reflect the blinking red LEDs connected to the LEDEM outputs. The AL input can be connected to a burglar alarm system, causing both outputs to flash. In case of low load (burning light) buzzer frequency and output flashing will double, thus showing fault status (only for directional mode). In the event of output power overload, a built-in thermal shutdown circuit will reduce duty cycles to keep the maximum junction temperature within a safe range. The ROL pin is connected to an external resistor to detect burnout and a trailer is connected. LEDT is connected to an external green LED indicating the trailer connection.
