The ATS685LSH is an optimized Hall-effect sensing IC combined with rare earth particles, providing a user-friendly solution that truly enables zero-speed digital gear tooth sensing in two-wire applications. The sensor IC consists of a single-shot molded plastic package that includes samarium cobalt particles, pole pieces, and a magnetic circuit optimized for Hall-effect ICs. This small package can be easily assembled and used incorporating a wide variety of gear shapes and sizes.
A monolithic integrated circuit that uses a dual-element Hall-effect sensor IC and signal processing circuitry to create differential magnetic signals to switch ferromagnetic targets. The device contains a complex compensation circuit to remove magnetic and system bias. True zero-speed operation using digital tracking of an analog signal. Advanced calibration algorithms are used to adjust the device's gain and electrical cancellation, resulting in independent switching points in the air gap, thus greatly improving output accuracy. Additionally, advanced algorithms mitigate the effects of system anomalies such as target vibration and sudden air gap changes.
The regulated current output is configured for two-wire operation.
This sensor IC is ideal for obtaining edge and duty gear tooth based applications such as in-cycle information transmission speed. The ATS685 is offered in a 4-pin SIP package that is lead (PB) free, with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
