AME8500AEETAA16-UProcessor supervision
The AME8500 family allows users to customize the CPU reset function without any external components. The user has a large selection of reset voltage thresholds, reset intervals, and output driver configurations, all pre-set at the factory. per wafer trim customer request. These circuits monitor the supply voltage of MP-based systems. Asserts immediately when the supply voltage drops below the reset threshold voltage (within the time interval of TD1). Reset remains active when the supply voltage rises above the threshold voltage for a time interval, TD2. The reset output may be active high (RESET) or low (RESETB). The reset output can be configured as push/pull or open drain. The state of the reset output is to ensure that the correct supply voltage is greater than 1V. The AME8501 includes all of the above features, plus thermal shutdown. Reset asserts when the ambient temperature exceeds 80°C and remains active until the temperature falls below 60°C. The micropower quiescent current (<3.0mA) of the space saving SOT23 package makes this family a natural portable battery powered device.
