RT9607/A-Dual Channel Synchronous Rectification Buck MOSFET Driver
The RT9607/A is a dual supply trench MOSFET driver specially designed to drive a synchronous rectified buck converter topology in four power N-MOSFETs. These Richtek series of multi-phase combined driver step-down PWM controllers provide a complete core voltage regulator solution for advanced microprocessors.
RT9607/A can provide flexible door for driving high side and low side driver. This allows for more flexibility
MOSFET selection.
Part of the output driver drives a 3NF capble 30/40ns load with rise/fall times and fast multiplying delays from the input transition to the gate of the power MOSFET. The device implementation on boot requires only one external capacitor on each power channel on the gate. This reduces implementation complexity and allows the use of higher performance, cost-effective N-MOSFETs. Adaptive shoot-through protection is integrated to prevent two MOSFETs from being carried out simultaneously. RT9607/A can detect the leakage of high-side MOSFET tosource electrical power and pull the 12V power supply low, MOS and cause the power supply to go into more current shutdown to prevent damage to the CPU. RT9607 has long UGATE/LGATE dead time which can drive MOSFET with large gate RC value and avoid shoot-through phenomenon. The RT9607A is targeted to drive small gate RC value MOSFETs and perform better with efficiency.
