AIC1526 - Dual USB High-Side Power Switch
The AIC1526 is a dual high-side power switch for self-powered and bus-powered Universal Serial Bus (USB) applications. A high-side switch with 110m RDS(ON) MOSFET meets USB voltage drop requirements; maximum transmission line length. Multipurpose open-drain fault flag outputs indicate overcurrent limit, thermal shutdown, or undervoltage lockout for each channel. Typically a limited output current of 1A, well below the safety requirement of 5A, and a thermal shutdown function that independently controls overcurrent for each channel condition. Guaranteed minimum output rise time limits inrush current during hot plugging, minimizes EMI and prevents voltage on upstream ports from drooping excessively.
