The DRV411 is designed to condition InSb Hall elements for use in closed loop current sensor modules. DRV411 provides a precision excitation circuit for the Hall element, effectively eliminating the offset and offset drift of the Hall element. The device also provides a 250mA H-bridge to drive the sensor compensation coil and a precision differential amplifier to generate the output signal. The 250 mA drive capability of the H-bridge approximately doubles the current measurement range compared to traditional single-ended drive methods.
The Hall sensor front-end circuitry and differential amplifier employ proprietary offset cancellation techniques. Together with the high precision voltage reference, these techniques significantly improve the accuracy of the entire ATMEGA1284P-MU current sensor module. The output voltage is pin selectable to support a 2.5V output for a 5V supply and a 1.65V output for a 3.3V sensor.
For optimum heat dissipation, the DRV411 is available in thermally enhanced 4mm × 4mm QFN and TSSOP-20 packages in PowerPAD packages. The DRV411 is rated to operate over the entire extended industrial temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.
