The AMC3301 is a precision AD5314ACPZ-REEL7 isolation amplifier optimized for shunt-based current measurements. A fully integrated isolated DC/DC converter allows single-supply operation from the low side of the device, making this device a unique solution for space-constrained applications. Reinforced capacitive isolation barriers are VDE V 0884-11 and UL1577 certified and support operating voltages up to 1.2 kV RMS.
Isolation barriers separate parts of the system that operate on different common-mode voltage levels and protect the low-voltage side from dangerous voltages and damage.
The inputs of the AMC3301 are optimized for direct connection to low impedance shunt resistors or other low impedance voltage sources with low signal levels. Excellent DC accuracy and low temperature drift support accurate current measurements over the extended industrial temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.
The AMC3301's integrated DC/DC converter fault detection and diagnostic output pins simplify system-level design and diagnostics.
