The TPS562212 is a cost-effective and highly flexible ADSP-BF533SBBZ400 synchronous buck converter that offers selectable Eco-mode operation or FCCM (Forced Continuous Conduction Mode) operation. An optional power good indicator or external soft start is also configurable through the MODE pin. Power sequencing can be achieved by properly configuring the enable pins, power good indicators, or external soft-start. The wide input voltage range of 4.2V to 18V supports many common input rails such as 12V and 15V. It supports up to 2A of continuous output current at output voltages between 0.6V and 7V.
The device provides fast transient response with a true fixed switching frequency by using an Advanced Emulated Current Mode (AECM) control topology. With internal intelligent loop bandwidth control, the device provides fast transient response over a wide output voltage range without the need for external compensation.
Cycle-by-cycle current limit for high-side peak current protects the device during overload conditions, and is enhanced by low-side valley current limit to prevent current runaway. Hiccup mode will trigger on overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), UVLO protection and thermal shutdown.
The device is housed in a 1.6mm × 2.1mm SOT583 package.
