The LMQ61460-Q1 is a high performance DC-DC synchronous buck converter with integrated bypass capacitors. With integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs, up to 6 A of output current can be delivered over a wide input range of 3.0 V to 36 V; 42V tolerance supports load dump for 400 ms. The device achieves soft recovery from voltage drops, eliminating overshoot on the output.

The device is designed to minimize EMI. The device integrates pseudo-random spread spectrum, ADNS-2051 integrated bypass capacitor, adjustable SW node rise time, low EMI VQFN-HR package with low switch node ringing, and an optimized pinout for ease of use. The switching frequency can be synchronized between 200 kHz and 2.2 MHz to avoid noise sensitive frequency bands. Additionally, the frequency can be selected to improve efficiency at low operating frequencies or smaller solution size at high operating frequencies.

Automatic mode enables frequency foldback when operating at light loads, allowing no-load current consumption of only 7 μA (typ) and high light-load efficiency. Seamless transitions between PWM and PFM modes, along with very low MOSFET on-resistance and external bias input, ensure excellent efficiency over the entire load range.
