ASUS ZenPower 10050C (QC3.0) trial one box can charge three machines
ASUS has only recently ushered in the full-screen Zenfone 5 three-machine (the bangs discussion is really hot~), and today (3/9) is also launching its ZenPower power bank 10050C (QC3.0), just look at the appearance It is not much different from the previous ZenPower; however, in addition to the QC 3.0 fast charging specifications, it also features 3 sets of USB port output functions, one box can charge three different devices, and the CP value is quite high. I also take a short time to make a simple trial~
Appearance design
The ZenPower 10050C(QC3.0) appearance BA3474F-E2 is a continuation of the design concept of the previous "predecessors", all of which are built in a narrow and wide way, which is slightly different from the long and flat way of Xiaomi power bank, easy to carry This is because the styles are quite different. The editor is in Korea these days, so it is quite easy to put it in a general jacket pocket; however, in a warmer climate, the general thin jacket pocket may be a little uncomfortable. Take some effort.
Let’s take a look at the appearance directly here. 10050C (QC3.0) has two colors of silver and black. The editor got black. The overall texture is not bad under the blessing of aluminum alloy; but friends who are concerned about the appearance may pay special attention to the wear marks caused by use.
The only switch and charging port block on the fuselage is located at the top of the power bank. The switch is quite convenient when holding it normally. It can be found that there are 3 charging ports here, namely USB-C (input 5V / 3A, output 5.1 V / 3A), USB-A (5.1V / 2.4A, 9.1V / 2A, 12V / 1.5A, support QC3.0, up to 18W), and USB-A (5V / 1A). The power indicator on the side is changed from 4 to 3 lights in the old model, and there are LEDs that can be used as a flashlight (long press to turn on).
At the bottom is the relevant specification recording area. ZenPower 10050C (QC3.0) is equipped with a 10,050mAh battery with rated capacities of 6,400mAh@5.1V, 3,400mAh@9.1, and 2,400mAh@12.1V. There are also icons of relevant safety certifications below. ASUS indicates that ZenPower 10050C (QC3.0) has not only passed the certification of 7 major certification bodies in the world, but also built-in functions such as temperature, input and output overvoltage, overcharge and overdischarge, and output overvoltage. 11 kinds of protection, such as current, Reset, short circuit, charger, input anti-reverse, cell PTC and JEITA.
Take a look at the output performance
Since ZenPower 10050C(QC3.0) has three output ports, here I also use the voltage/current detector to calculate the output value of the power bank charging port separately. This time, I selected iPhone 7, HTC U11+ and ASUS ZenFone Max Plus. (M1) Three models were tested, only U11+ supports QC3.0 fast charging function.
First, let's take a look at the performance of U11+, start charging with 1% power, connect to Wi-Fi, 50% screen brightness, turn off Bluetooth, positioning and other functions, when using the QC 3.0 USB-A charging port with the original charging cable , the highest result can be 6.9V / 2.07A, as for the 5V 1A USB-A port on the side, the result is 1.14A / 5V, and finally it can charge the power bank and support the charging USB-C. Connected to the USB-A detector, so here I took the moshi USB-C male to USB-A female adapter that supports 3A, and the result is 1.39A / 5V.
Next is the iPhone 7, which is tested in the same test environment and with the original factory line. With the QC 3.0 USB-C port, the results are 0.96A / 4.9V, 5V 1A USB-A is 0.97A / 4.9V, and finally USB-C using the transfer method is 0.98A / 5.0V, three The data are actually not very different.
The last ASUS ZenFone Max Plus(M1), the USB-A using QC 3.0 is 1.51A / 5V, the USB-A data of 5V 1A is 0.46A / 5.1V, and finally the USB-C using the same transfer method, the result Displays 0.86A/5.1V. On the whole, although the three ports can be charged, it is recommended to use the QC 3.0 port for the products that need charging the most.
Usually when you are in a hurry, charging the product while charging the mobile power supply may be one of the options. Here, I also took the U11+ to test it, which is more compatible with this mobile power supply (after all, there is QC 3.0~); but let’s take a look first. The input voltage performance during single charging is matched with a charger that supports QC 3.0 by Xiaomi, and the level is 1.94A / 5.3V.
Next comes the highlight. When charging the mobile phone, I also simultaneously use the QC 3.0 USB-A port with the original power cable to charge the U11+, but the result is that it cannot be displayed. ...but the LED lights can be turned on when the power bank is charging.
use summary
Generally, when traveling or traveling abroad, I will bring the old Xiaomi mobile power supply, and there is no big problem in using it. But this time, when I tried ZenPower 10050C (QC3.0), I happened to encounter a staff trip. The features of three products that can be charged at one time are very useful for the editors who have personal use, testing, and Wi-Fi machines. Yes, you don't need to bring an extra power bank, or you need to take turns charging, which saves a lot of trouble.
However, the USB-C charging port needs to buy an additional adapter to seamlessly use most USB-A male charging cables. Perhaps in the future, the original factory can consider attaching it to increase the practicability. Scratch and fade is also a small defect, but overall the CP value is quite high.
