The TPS62933 is a high-efficiency, easy-to-use AD5242BR100 synchronous buck converter with a wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 30V and supports up to 3A continuous output current and 0.8V to 22V output voltage.

The device uses a fixed frequency peak current control mode for fast transient response and good line and load regulation. Optimized internal loop compensation eliminates external compensation components over a wide output voltage and operating frequency range. Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) mode maximizes light-load efficiency. The ULQ (Ultra Low Quiescent) feature is great for extending battery life in low power operation. The switching frequency is programmable from 200 kHz to 2.2 MHz through configuration of the RT pin, allowing the user to optimize system efficiency, solution size, and bandwidth. The soft-start time can be adjusted by an external capacitor on the SS pin to minimize inrush current when driving large capacitive loads.

The device is also spread spectrum capable, providing complete protection including OTP, OVP, UVLO, cycle-by-cycle OC limit and UVP with hiccup mode. The device is housed in a small SOT583 (1.6mm × 2.1mm) package with 0.5mm pitch and has an optimized pinout for easy PCB layout and good EMI performance.
